What do plastic modular belts and a rock have in common? At first glance, nothing. At least on the outside, there are no similarities. Only the attempt to open a belt made of millimeter-thin individual modules, on which food products will be processed day in and day out, evokes the legend of Arthur. Since hygiene plays an important role in the food industry, the belts must be thoroughly cleaned. Previously, this meant removing a rod with the help of a tool in order to open the plastic modular belts.
The patented solution
What Excalibur is to the legend of King Arthur, the Habasit Saniclip is to us. The difference is that you do not have to be a rightful king to open the Habasit Saniclip joining system. The Habasit Saniclip makes everyone "King Arthur", so to speak. A quick pull releases a plastic rod so that it can be easily removed. Even the reverse side of the belt can now be easily cleaned, and the rod effortlessly inserted again afterwards. The belt is thus quickly joined again, minimizing machine downtimes. The sole similarity between King Arthur and Habasit is that they are the only ones to achieve this.
Remove before cleaning
Like airplanes, modular belts have some spots and openings that are susceptible to soiling. This is due to the module structure of these belts. The red flag "Remove before flight" protects sensitive areas on an aircraft while it is on the ground and thus guarantees a safe take-off. The Habasit Saniclip fulfils a similar purpose; it does not prevent soiling, but it offers a solution for afterwards. In a way, it does not guarantee a safe take-off but a smooth landing. (CW)
